Timber Ridge
Sawmill & Lumber
ABOUT US
Where It All Began
Timber Ridge Sawmill & Lumber was once known as Parker Lumber. Parker Lumber Company was created over 40 years ago by two aspiring brothers, Jeff Parker and Don Parker. They began as a simple two-person sawmill, and in 1983, grew their business to operate with an automatic mill, increasing production to meet the growing demand for product sales. The Parkers completed a major upgrade and expansion in 1987. However, after a devastating fire in 1997 the original mill burned to the ground. Through their steadfast grit, and resilience, they rebuilt the mill to what it is presently, and success continued to follow. In recognition of manufacturing and service excellence as well as commitment to employees and the community, Parker Lumber Company was awarded the 2008 Governor's Award for Business Excellence. In 2012, Brian Parker, Jeff’s son, purchased the business and continued the legacy. With great appreciation, perseverance, and passion for the forest product industry, the mill has grown to what it is today. Brian upheld Parker Lumber's history of continuous development and dedication to his business, his employees and community at large. From the beginning of their journey until the end, the Parker Family name has been a symbol of determination, ingenuity, and integrity.

Who We Are Today
Although the Parker Lumber name has changed to Timber Ridge Sawmill & Lumber, our mission will remain the same. The new owner, Jonathan Davis, had the privilege of working side by side with Brian Parker for close to a decade, and witnessed firsthand what true professionalism, perseverance, and dedication should be. The Parkers’ influence can still be felt within our walls, and we intend to keep this legacy alive and thriving. The Parkers have earned our respect and our appreciation for what they brought to the sawmill industry, to their customers, and to their community. We will continue this same vision and business model, and will strive to remain one of Maine’s strongest forest products businesses.
